Principal's Message

Hello Families of Sacred Heart, Mildmay

As we begin the 2021-2022 school year, I would like to take this opportunity to express my excitement and enthusiasm in (re)joining your school community as principal.

First of all, I wish to thank you for choosing a Catholic education for your children. We know that you have a choice. Catholic schools are schools with a difference and that begins with the staff commitment to their vocation. Sacred Heart is a unique place to learn and grow and we are glad you are journeying with us as we create disciples of Christ for the world.

This year, some of our key work will be supporting wellness and mentally healthy students. We will also focus on equity and inclusion- key tenets of our Catholic faith along with moving our students along in math and literacy...meeting them where they are in a supportive climate of learning.

As we continue to work our way out of this pandemic and return to school,  we have a most tremendous opportunity to create a new and a better normal this year. I think about all the new learning that has occurred in the past year and a half. It amazes me the things that we now do that were almost inconceivable 2 years ago. There are also challenges to face in this new year, but with our resiliency and an incredible school community that will rally around each other, we will rise to the occasion. I am confident that we can forge our way through to a brighter future.

God Bless and have a great year!

Mr. McLean
